What’s on offer from Tower?

Tower offers its customers three levels of home cover – Premium, Plus and Standard policies – as well as Premium, Plus and Standard policies on contents insurance.

Tower says that its Plus policies are most popular with customers. These policies can be purchased separately, but an up to 20% discount applies when you have multiple insurance policies with Tower.

What’s covered by Tower’s home insurance?

All of Tower’s home insurance policies cover:

  • Full replacement up to the insured sum should your house be destroyed.
  • One event/one excess. This means if you need to make a claim for more than one of your Tower car, house and contents policies at the same time, you only pay one excess.
  • Full replacement for fire policy. If your home burns down, Tower will rebuild it, even if it costs more than your sum insured. Excludes fires following natural disasters
  • Gradual damage
  • Temporary accommodation
  • Garden and landscaping
  • Keys and locks

The amount of cover varies depending on the policy you choose: Premium, Plus or Standard.

What’s covered by Tower’s contents insurance?

All of Tower’s home contents policies cover:

  • Replacement or repair of possessions, up to limits in your policy and your chosen sum insured
  • Transit insurance when moving
  • One event, one excess, as above
  • No claims bonus
  • Natural disaster damage
  • Liability protection
  • Cover for your possessions anywhere in NZ
  • Mobile phone cover
  • Jewellery cover
  • Glasses, hearing aids and dentures
  • Watercraft
  • Student cover if your child is at university

The amount of cover varies depending on the policy you choose: Premium, Plus or Standard.
