When faced with serious illness, the cost of medical care can compound an already stressful situation – exactly the reason thousands of New Zealanders invest in health insurance cover. Here, Canstar reviews how AIA’s health insurance policies stack up against the competition.

What health insurance policies does AIA offer?

AIA’s health insurance policies provide the option to get exactly the care that you want in whatever circumstances you find yourself. Not only does it provide cover for non-Pharmac subsidised cancer treatment, but it includes benefits such as:

  • Option to receive treatment overseas
  • Enhancement Pass Back ensures any future improvements to AIA health insurance policies are automatically applied to your cover
  • The option to suspend cover for 12 months
  • Waiver of Premium (optional benefit): ensures that if you lose your job/income to disability, you can keep your health insurance policy without the need to pay any premiums
