  • International Comprehensive: full cover for your overseas holiday
  • Annual Multi-trip: cost-effective cover for multiple overseas journeys
  • Domestic: covers you for loss on Kiwi vacations
  • Working Overseas: extended cover for long periods overseas

What’s covered by Southern Cross’s International Comprehensive policy?

The main features of Southern Cross’s International Comprehensive policy include unlimited cover for: medical treatments, 24-hour emergency assistance and medical evacuation/repatriation.

Also:

  • $1m personal liability
  • $50,000 accident insurance
  • $50,000 changes to journey once you have left
  • $25,000 personal items cover

Optional cover available for: moped/motorbike use, skiing/snowboarding and cruises.

What’s covered by Southern Cross’s Annual Multi-trip policy?

Southern Cross’s Annual Multi-trip policy provides the same level of cover as its International Comprehensive policy. Designed for frequent flyers and business travellers, it offers a cost-effective alternative to taking out individual policies if you’re planning multiple trips overseas within a specific period of time.

Once your cover is in place, you’re insured for an unlimited number of return journeys overseas, up to a maximum of 30, 60 or 90 days in length.

What’s covered by Southern Cross’s Domestic policy?

Although Kiwis don’t have to worry about medical bills at home, accidents and unforeseen events can still happen while holidaying in Aotearoa. Southern Cross’s Domestic policy covers:

  • Changes to your travel plans or cancellations
  • Luggage and personal items
  • Rental vehicle excess
  • Personal accident & liability

What’s covered by Southern Cross’s Working Overseas policy?

Southern Cross’s policy is designed for people who are temporarily living or working overseas, and those on working holidays. It offers the same levels of cover as the insurance company’s International Comprehensive policy.
