Choosing the right toaster for you

Whether you pay $10 for your toast, or over $300, its job is to grill bread. But that doesn't mean all toasters are created equal. A lot of things can affect your satisfaction with your toast, from its speed to the evenness of its bread browning.

So it's not surprising that 39% of the Kiwi toaster owners in our award survey said that a toaster's Performance is its most important feature. This well out-rates Value for Money, which was cited by a quarter of respondents.

Here's the full rundown of what the Kiwis in our survey said were the main things they considered when rating their toaster picks:

  • Performance 39%
  • Value for Money: 24%
  • Features & Functions: 14%
  • Ease of Use: 12%
  • Design: 11%
