Masport's five award wins, plus its clean sweep of 5-Star ratings, is clear testament to Masport's position as New Zealand’s No.1 lawn mower brand.

The Masport brand was founded here in 1910. Its mowers are built on over 100 years of manufacturing experience, and are designed and engineered in New Zealand to deal with the toughest Kiwi conditions and the thickest lawns.

Masport offers two electric mower ranges, the 42V Energy Flex series and the 60V Max Range, each delivering a different level of power and performance to keep your lawns in top-top condition.

Choosing the right lawn mower for you

When asked for the most important factor when rating their mower brands, over a third (35%) of Kiwis in our award survey cited Reliability & Performance.

Maintenance & Servicing is also important, cited by 20% of mower consumers, the same percentage that claimed Quality of Grass Cut was the most important factor.

Overall, it's understandable that Reliability & Performance and Maintenance & Servicing are important factors for gardeners who purchase petrol mowers, as petrol-engine devices require more maintenance and can be more temperamental than their electric counterparts.

Here's how those in our survey rate their top concerns when assessing their choice of lawn mowers:

  • Reliability & Performance: 35%
  • Maintenance & Servicing: 20%
  • Quality of Grass Cut: 20%
  • Ease of Use: 12%
  • Value for Money: 13%
