From the results of this year’s research, three car insurance providers have earned our top Outstanding Value Awards:

Outstanding Value Award winner: State

State wins not only an Outstanding Value Award, but also takes home our accolade Car Insurer of the Year, its second consecutive title.

Our research team noted State's competitive prices, its great comprehensive policy features and strong customer satisfaction score.

  • Accidental windscreen and glass damage
  • Kids' car seats
  • Legal liability protection up to $20m for damage, and up to $1m for injury
  • New car replacement
  • Protection against uninsured drivers
  • Transport and towing expenses
  • Up to $500 to replace keys and locks

AA's comprehensive car insurance policy is designed to give full cover for collision, fire & theft. It also provides you with legal liability, should you damage someone else's property.

Some of the key benefits are:

  • Cover for damage to your own car and other people's property (up to $20m for legal liability)
  • Excess-free replacement of keys and locks up to $1000 if your keys are stolen
  • Insurance up to an agreed value
  • Towing, storage and transport costs in the event of an accident
