What is the NZ Companion Animal Register?

The NZCAR is a database of over 1.4 million microchipped pets, including birds, cats, dogs, horses, rabbits and guinea pigs. It's run by the charity Companion Animals New Zealand with the aim of reuniting lost pets with their owners.

Registering a pet on the NZCAR only costs $15, so if you love your pet, it's a good idea to have it microchipped and registered. Click here for more information on the New Zealand Companion Animal Register.
