Canstar's Most Satisfied Customers Health Supplements Award reveals the supplement brand that delivers the best consumer satisfaction to its customers.
We ask health-conscious Kiwis to rate their satisfaction with their choice of supplement brand by Overall Satisfaction, as well as important criteria such as Effectiveness, Taste and Value for Money.

The best health supplements in NZ
The brands rated are listed below in order of best overall satisfaction.
1. Clinicians

Clinicians earns its award on the back of a fantastic set of ratings from its customers. In addition to a 5-Star rating for Overall Satisfaction, it scores further 5 Stars for Ease of Consumption, Effectiveness and Taste. In the other two categories of Value for Money and Availability Clinicians also scores highly, attaining 4-Star ratings.
Clinicians was founded in 1977 by two Kiwi pharmacists. Their goal was to create supplements that would boost the health of New Zealanders and to complement conventional medicines.
Clinicians offers a range of health supplements that includes products that cover everyday health, immunity and allergens, focus and performance, women's and kids' health, sleep, mood, and joint and bone health.
Clinicians' products are available from chemists stores nationally, and from the Clinicians website. Through its website, Clinicians also offers 15-minute free virtual appointments with their in-house naturopath to discuss the best natural solutions to boost your health.
2. Berocca
Berocca has long been a mainstay of Kiwi medicine cabinets and morning-after pick-me-ups. The brand's range of effervescent drinks and vitamin tablets has evolved to cover products that support everyday health, aid hydration, and boost concentration, energy levels and sports performance.
3. Sanderson
Sanderson is a privately owned Kiwi brand that has been promoting natural health in NZ since 1979. Sanderson makes a full range of health supplements that are available from pharmacists nationwide, including: children's vitamins; fish oils and vegetable essential fatty acids; herbals; minerals; probiotics; sleep-support aids and vitamins and multivitamins.
4. Red Seal
Red Seal offers a range of oral care and tea products, in addition to its supplements range, which includes high-strength and everyday vitamins, chewables and effervescent drink tablets, plus beauty supplements, such as deep hydration and collagen builder powders.
5. Goodhealth
Goodhealth is a New Zealand company that was founded in 1987. Its range of over 300 products encompasses men's, women's and kids' health, products that support the immune system, digestion and eye health, as well as nutritional oils, bee products and weight management supplements.
6. Centrum
Centrum's health supplements include a wide range of multivitamins for men, women, children and seniors; blends to assist mind, memory, mood, stress and eyesight; plus collagen for healthy skin.
7. Healtheries
In addition to its snacks and teas, Healtheries retails a huge range of diet aids and supplements. These include protein and nutrition powers, effervescent vitamin tablets, gummies, capsules and chewable tablets.
8. GO Healthy
GO Healthy is one of the country's favourite health supplement brands, and a three-time winner of Canstar's Health Supplements Award.
Available only through pharmacies and health-food stores, Go Healthy's products use high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients, and include supplements promoting men's, women's and kids health, as well as supplements targeting joints, digestion, the immune system and weight management.
9. Nature's Way
Nature’s Way’s wide range of vitamins, gummies and health, beauty and superfood supplements is widely available from supermarkets, The Warehouse and pharmacies.
10. NZ Muscle
NZ Muscle was founded nearly 20 years ago, in 2004, to address the lack of quality, home-grown body-building supplements on the market in Aotearoa. Since then the business has grown to include four Auckland stores, a gym and a thriving online business selling a huge range of fitness products.
Its products includes protein powders and bars, creatine, weight loss supplements and performance and recovery ranges.
11. BePure
BePure is a Kiwi brand that sells vitamins and minerals, multivitamins, fish oils, probiotics and products to promote the immune system, kids health, hormone health plus a range of supplements designed to boost mood and sleep.
12. Blackmores
Blackmores is an Australian company that has a history dating back to 1938. Blackmores health products can be found in most major NZ supermarkets and pharmacies.
13. Swisse
Despite the name, Swisse is an Australian company that was founded in Melbourne in 1969. Swisse produces a large range of health supplements, including vitamin and multivitamin tablets, plus gummies and chewables for men, women and children.
Choosing the right health supplements for you
Health supplement needs vary from person to person. They depend on age, lifestyle and health concerns. But whether you're a marathon runner, or have a compromised immune system, one thing is paramount when it comes to choosing a supplement that's right for you: its effectiveness.
In our survey, 42% of respondents say the most important thing for them when scoring the health supplements they take is how they deliver on their health promises. This rates far more highly than Value for Money (25%), revealing that when it comes to health, Kiwi consumers are happy to pay for improved wellbeing.
